I believe meaningful therapy begins with curiosity.
My work begins with understanding the person in front of me – their experiences, relationships, development, and what may be shaping what is happening now.
Rather than beginning with what needs to change, I try to understand what makes sense about where you are. From there, we can become curious together about what might help.
How I work
I pay attention not only to what someone is doing, but also what may be happening developmentally, relationally, emotionally, and within their body.
Sometimes what looks like resistance, avoidance, or difficult behaviour may be a way of showing us that something is harder than we realized. From there, we can become curious about what might help.
Who I Work With
Therapy can look different depending on who is coming through the door and what they need.
Children & Families
Children often communicate through play, behaviour, movement, and relationships before they can fully explain what is happening in words. I work with children and families to understand what may be underneath and what might support development, regulation and connection.
Adolescents
Adolescence brings its own questions about identity, relationships, independence, and belonging. Therapy can offer a place to make sense of experiences, understand patterns, and explore what may be getting in the way – without assuming there is something that simply needs to be fixed.
Adults
Adults often come to therapy when something in life no longer feels manageable, or when familiar ways of coping are no longer working. Together, we can become curious about the experiences and patterns that have shaped how you respond, while finding ways forward that make sense for you.
Ways We Can Work Together
I offer individual therapy for adolescents and adults, Play Therapy for children, and support for parents and families. The way we work together is shaped around the person, rather than asking the person to fit a particular approach.
