Therapy begins with understanding the person, not just the problem.
I believe people make sense when we take time to understand what has shaped them. Whether I am working with a child, an adolescent, or an adult, I begin with curiosity-looking beyond what is happening on the surface to understand the experiences, relationships, and developmental processes underneath.
My role is not to decide too quickly what something means or what needs to change. I try to create space to slow things down, become curious together, and consider different ways of understanding what may be happening. Sometimes that means looking at patterns that have developed over time; sometimes it means noticing what the body, behaviour, emotions, or relationships may be communicating.

A little about me
I am a Registered Psychologist and Registered Play Therapist with experience across health, education, and private practice. I have been a Registered Psychologist since 2010 and now work in private practice in rural Alberta, providing therapy to children, adolescents, adults, and families.
Over the years, I have become especially interested in how development, relationships, regulation, and the nervous system shape the ways we experience and respond to the world. This continues to influence how I work, whether I am sitting with an adult, supporting a family, or joining a child in the playroom.
Outside of the therapy room
Much of my time is spent with my family, often enjoying the outdoors and being in nature. I also enjoy spending time with and training my dogs.
